Is it cheaper to book an airport transfer in advance?
Not always, and you deserve a straight answer. In Lisbon, rideshare fares from the airport to the centre typically run €8 to €15, so a solo traveller with one bag may spend less on an app in calm conditions. Pre-booking tends to win when the route is long, as on most Algarve journeys, when three or four people share one fixed fare, or when a surge, a late arrival or a fare dispute would otherwise set the price.
